National Public Garden Day on Friday

National Public Gardens Day is a great day to visit our jewel The Living Desert in Palm Desert. They are giving a free tour of the gardens with your admission and a discount at their great garden center.

If you haven’t been to the Living Desert you are missing one of the best places in the valley – whether you are there late in the afternoon to see the chollas glow or watch the giraffes gallop over the hills, members can arrive early in the morning for a quiet walk. I love the fennec foxes, watching the bighorn sheep, sitting in the oasis, taking in the smoke trees in bloom and wandering through all the different gardens.

Just go – you’ll love it. And the smoke trees may be in bloom with their indigo flowers amidst the dusty gray branches.
